External
Financing
As part
of our Corporate Finance services, we have established a department
devoted to providing direct financing through the U.S. small
and medium-sized exporter support program with funds guaranteed
by the Export-Import Bank of the United States (Ex-Im Bank),
or through other domestic or foreign banks. Ex-Im Bank is
an agency of the U.S. government which historically (for the
past 20 years) has destined, at the request of the U.S. Congress,
10% of its total financing capital to small and medium-sized
exporters.
As
of last year, the U.S. Congress has issued an obligation
that indicates that at least 20% of the total funds available
for financing should be provided to small and medium-sized
exporters. These credits can be negotiated for Mexican buyers
approved by Ex Im Bank in terms of 1 to 5 years to purchase
capital assets (machinery and equipment, furniture, hi-tech
equipment, ecological equipment, raw materials, etc.).
